Tip 1: Reading your Quest Journal

ask a city guard! They'll give you directions to anything in
the city and they will give you a little flag in your
mini-map.It is also a good thing to have guards around when you are in trouble because most of these guards are level
75 or so and can easily kill any or most monsters in the
game this will help lots when you are trying to get some where, when you run in to some monster that is like 5 levels higher then you are. One more good tip on city guards that you should know is that vanish does not work on them.
Tip 3 - The Num Lock key is your auto run.
Auto run is the best thing to use while going on long trips one because you don't have to hold down the forward key or the mouse all you have to do is hit the num lock key and then you can look at your map or chat while your person is walking.
Tip 4 - Controlling your Pets.
This only applies to pet classes (Warlocks and
Hunters), but if you are a Warlock or a
Hunter, your pets are tools use them when you can. They're used for very
specific purposes. Putting them on Aggressive lets them attack the monsters and draw the attention away from you and your group of people often when a pet is on the
loose that means death for the group and a boring look for your corpse. To get a pet, the Hunter needs to use his/her tame beast skill on a valid beast that is their level or lower at the start of the taming process, the Hunter's armor is decreased by 100% and they will not be able to perform
any other actions unless the attempt of taming should fail.The taming process takes 20 seconds and will not increase with every hit.This can be interrupted. With Patch 3.0.2 Beastmaster Hunters gain the ability to tame rare pet types.
